We work slowly, on purpose.
Discovery
We begin with a long conversation. About how you live, what you've inherited, what you've outgrown. Site visits follow, then a written brief that becomes our shared compass.
2–3 weeksDesign
Concept boards, material samples, plans drawn to scale. We present in person, in rooms that feel like the rooms we are designing for you. Revisions are expected; speed is not the point.
8–12 weeksSourcing & build
We source through trade, restore where we can, commission when we should. Our build partners are people we know by first name. You see the project on a rhythm you choose.
12–28 weeksInstallation
The final week is ours. We arrive, install, style, photograph if you allow it, and leave you with a folio of every decision we made together.
1 weekA small practice, by design.
Hakim Wiggins is a residential interior design studio founded by Hakim Wiggins in 2018. We take on six new commissions a year — no more — so every project receives the same patient attention.
We work with clients who care about how their rooms feel as much as how they look. We favor honest materials, restored pieces, custom millwork, and the slow accumulation of objects that mean something. Most of our work is in the Northeast; some of it isn't.
StudioHakim Wiggins, founding principalFrom the people we have worked with.
They translated something I couldn't articulate into a home that feels like it has always been ours. Restrained, lived-in, and quietly extraordinary.
Learn the craft.
Short courses on colour, light, material, and style — taught the way design is practiced. Start for $25.
Wild Watercolour Basics
An introduction to organic watercolour — loose washes, botanical forms, and the kind of mark-making that trains your eye for colour and composition in any room.
Colour in the Home
How colour behaves under different light, how rooms influence each other, and how to build a palette that holds from morning to evening. The theory behind every good interior.
Styling Your Space
A hands-on workshop for confident arrangement. Learn how to compose a shelf, dress a table, layer textiles, and make a room feel finished with what you already own.
Materials & Texture
The tactile side of design. Stone, linen, timber, plaster — how to read a material, select a finish, and combine surfaces so a room has depth without noise.
Light & Form
Lighting is the last thing chosen and the first thing felt. This class covers natural and artificial light, lamp placement, kelvin temperatures, and how light redraws a room.
The Complete Course
All five classes in a single enrolment. Watercolour, colour theory, styling, materials, and lighting — the full creative foundation for designing spaces with intention.
All classes are delivered digitally — watch at your own pace, revisit any time. Questions? hakimw@wigginstudio.com
